Chapter 7- What’s New?!

When we last talked I was counting down the days to graduation…

Now here I am, one degree hotter 😉 IMG_8594.png

The question that people love asking, and I dislike answering all circle around “What now?” “What’s next for you?” “What do your post grad plans include?”

The answer is I don’t know, but I can tell you what’s new. I would love to find a teaching position close to home. I’ve been away for so long and I want to be near my family. I was offered teaching positions from school districts in Florida, Maryland, and Virginia as an on the spot hire at a job fair. That was such a blessing, and reassurance that I am qualified and ready to begin teaching but also ready to stay on the path as a lifelong learner and teacher.

Which brings me to,

I am excited to continue my journey with higher education and continue to grow my knowledge within the education field.

To help get me started with my first classroom and continuing my professional development- I was able to accept a $1000 scholarship grant from the Delta Kappa Gamma Society. I’m thankful and truly excited to find out “What now?” and “What’s next?”

teachers-teaNow that I’ve done my share of bragging and catching everyone including myself up, know that I’m no longer a broke college student.. just broke. So I’m making due and doing what I love. Right now I’m substituting in Delaware schools, working before and after school programs with the YMCA, and getting ready for summer camp. So make sure to follow my Twitter and Instagram @teacherstea and check here to track what in the world is going on with me and what in the world is going on in education.
